After a ten year expansion, has downtown Huntsville's upward momentum turned to the downside? There are a few new faces, but many restaurants and small businesses have closed or moved away from the square.

The good news is that the Commercial "Main Street" concept is HOT, and the return to "traditional neighborhoods" is also HOT. You see the "town centre" concept being developed and marketed in many cities throughout the country. The irony, however, is that Huntsville's Downtown offers the authenticity developers and citizens both desire -- architecture, greenspace, arts, entertainment, and a traditional neighborhood way of life.
